| COACH WHIT CHAIYABHAT Coach Whit joined the NCAA Division I Georgetown University softball coaching staff as the Hoyas' Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2008. He continues to serve as a member of the softball coaching staff for the Hoyas' inaugural season as a member of the Big East Conference in 2009. He completed his second season at NCAA Division III Hood College in 2007. He helped lead Hood College to their two most successful seasons in school history with back-to-back trips to the NCAA Division III Softball Championships in 2006 and 2007. Coach Whit has coached fastpitch softball for seven years and baseball for 12 years. He has also served as a private and/or camp hitting instructor in Maryland since 2003 and in Illinois from 1996-1998. (Former Arizona Diamondbacks MLB Staff and Minor League hitting instructor) - Worked out with Waukegan (IL) Stars Baseball Club founder/commissioner and Florida Marlins scout, Ralph Bufano, during fall and winter small group skill development sessions (1994/1995). College - Member of McHenry County College (IL)Baseball Team (Skyway Conference – NJCAA Region IV) - Middle infielder on 1996 McHenry County College (IL) baseball team that completed the 1996 season with a 40-15 record and ranked 6th in the final NJCAA National Rankings. Coach Whit's 1996 team also won the NJCAA Region IV Regional Championship, NJCAA Region IV Skyway Conference Title, and ended one game shy of the NJCAA College World Series at the USA Baseball Stadium in Millington, Tennessee. - In 1997, Coach Whit was elected Fighting Scots Baseball Team Captain at McHenry County College (IL). He was the starting SS/2B during 1997 season. |
